Junk food - a small essay

Junk foods. A food item loved by people around the world, even though they know the truth behind it all. Everyone will admit that they like junk food due to it's addictive taste and interesting looks, but junk foods have a very dark side. Junk foods, or junk for short, are food items that are not of much help to the body.  These food items, if consumed in large amounts, can lead to many diseases such as obesity and osteoporosis. These diseases are extremely harmful to the body. Experts around the world now say that a large amount of children around the world have become obese due to one sole reason- excess consumption of junk. But even after so many warnings have been flashed in front of our faces, we don't care, and continue eating the chips or fries we love oh so very much. Then why don't we stop the production of such vile products? A simple answer is- we can't. If we succeed in doing this then it would prove fatal. How? Mom's around the world wouldn't be able to make a proper dinner, all the junk food businesses would close down resulting in disastrous events and the list goes on. Then what can we do? There is a simple solution- making it healthier. No, no, no not something big, like asking one of the junk food companies to use more organic products. I mean something smaller- using alternatives." Well how does this help?" you might be thinking, and here is the answer. Alternatives are a way to reduce your addiction towards junk  and at the same time it allows you to eat healthy. For example, instead of frying potatoes to make fries you could bake it! This would make the snack more healthy and also gives a similar taste. So remember, eat healthy and stay wealthy!
