Shattered......
There once was a man, a kind fellow, or so the people thought. As he went from place to place day after day he considered his name to be forgotten. For the people, new, didn't know who he was, what he did for the people, old. So he walked on forward, his thoughts now flowing, and his heart cold, and barren. And as he walked forward he thought of nothing but pride and vigour and power, and corruption took his heart by a grip, and consumed it with a single gulp. The man once kind and noble now stood there, proud and vain, forsaking the love of the people once friends. As he walked through the crowds all he wanted to know was if they knew his name, but alas the man once brave and generous had now completely changed. Now filled with anger, with lust for fame, he searched on for new endeavours, and as he took his strides forward he looked ahead and thought he saw a house, forgotten. He saw it was his, the palace that once stood, had now come crashing down, reduced to nothing but rubble. And as the man stuck his grubby paw into whatever remained, he salvaged a mirror, but to his despair, his reflection was shattered, never to be the same......
Fantastic ! Within a few sentences you have wonderfully paraphrased the travails of the journey of life. Mind blowing !! Loved it to the core ..
